Default Four Christmases vs Fred Claus

For those that have seen both, which is better?

We just got Fred Claus in the mail via netflix and it was very average. I like Vince Vaughn so I hope this newer Christmas movie is better. We are planning on going to Four Christmases either this weekend or next.

Fred Claus had some pretty good parts, however the overall message of how "all kids are good" just didn't set well with me... whatever happened to be good and Santa will visit?

[Show spoiler] The other part that got to me was when Santa admitted to being wrong all these years, sure i know it's a kids movie but keeping in context of the story it just seemed to tell kids that no matter what you'll get a present...like the soccer song and dance, where no one keeps score and everyones a winner

To me, Four Christmases edges out Fred Claus just based on John Favreau's performance. He's not in many scenes, but he is absolutely great in them. Very funny, actually the funniest part of the whole film, imho.

I didn't see 4 Christmases yet but I saw Fred Clause...I wasn't impressed. Worth a rental, if that.

Hated the trailers for Fred Clause, but actually thought the movie was pretty good. Liked it better than Elf.

Haven't seen 4 Christmases.

I have not seen Four Christmases yet, but I was really disappointed in Fred Clause. I really like Vince Vaughn movies and think he is really funny, but something about this one was just, ok. Nothing I'd buy, but worth a rental just to see it.

They were both very bad. They each had a few moments of laughs but that's about it. Nether flowed well as a story.

Really enjoyed Fred Claus, so did the wife. We were both pleasantly surprised that we liked it is much as we did. Found it very touching & vastly better than the pro critics made it out to be. Have yet to see Four Christmases....

I enjoyed watching Fred Clause once, but it isn't a movie I would plan on watching during the holiday season every year. The premise was interesting, but Vaugh just wasn't as funny as he can be. I was a bit let down by it, but it certainly isn't the worst holiday movie to hit the big screen.

Four Christmases is definately the better of two. Both I and the gf agreed on this. The first half of Fred Clause was actually pretty cute, but the second half got kinda off track. They could have shaved a good twenty minutes off it.

Four Christmases though we both enjoyed. We don't got to the movies to often (who can blame me, I've got blu-rays!) so to take the trek out there means we were looking forward to it. It didn't dissapoint. In fact the gf hadn't laughed that much at a flick in easily over a year....
