Default Watching a Digital Copy on an Ipod???? Strange...

Do people REALLY watch entire movies on a tiny Ipod screen? When I'm traveling, I'll occasionally watch a movie on my laptop, but who in the world can watch a movie start to finish on a tiny screen like an Ipod? Seems kinda strange to me.

I have worked a couple overtime 3rd shifts by myself and hooked my Ipod up to a TV and watched tv shows and movies

I have Ratatuille and Semi Pro on my ipod. Semi Pro sucked, don't know why I bought it. And I watch parts of Ratauille once and a while. But I never watch a full movie on a portible device. Not even when I travel. I prefer a book on the go.

Sometimes classes let out a bit early and I take my headphones anyways. So I'll watch some Scrubs episodes and maybe even a movie if I finish one of my exams early this week waiting for my next.

On my trip to Thailand last August, I watched a couple of movies on iPod during the flight and while waiting for the flight.

I also use my iPod to watch TV shows and music videos when I am having family gatherings. I love the video feature.

I've stated donating plasma and i'm going to start putting more movies/shows on my ipod. I helps kill time and it sure beats trying to hold and turn pages with one hand.

I use my iPod to watch 25 min or so, TV shows. But ya, never full movies. Though I do have Big Daddy, TDK & The Incredibles on it though I only watch clips of them here and there never the full thing that's for sure.

I have 5 movies on my Ipod and have watched all 5 of them probably 2 times each max. You just have to be at the right place at the wrong time, then you will become bored enough to watch them on the small screen.

I just wish there was some way I could transfer these copies directly to my PSP. A small screen, but not tiny, and about the size of an iPod Touch screen. I don't understand why they have copy protection on digital copies. Well, that's to keep people buying the movies, but bear with me here.

(Corrected for accuracy, from personal experience.)

Sue us--Some people don't do much work-traveling and don't OWN laptops.

But seeing as you're only going to be using the laptops on the plane to play DVD's anyway (work?? ), there are much lighter and more portable alternatives, that don't involve taking up carry-on space or lugging through security.

Oh, and try watching a laptop in bed...

(And you thought you'd outgrown "Comic books under the sheet with a flashlight"--
Try watching a favorite cult series in bed with the lights out with your head on the pillow, broadcasting the FM through a clock-radio...Greatest habit-forming sleep-aid ever invented.)

Even though I have many movies on my ipod, I've only watched one whole movie thus far and thats when I went to Mexico over the summer but I do plan on watching more. I love digital copies. I take my ipod wherever I go and it kills time. Not that I work out anymore but you can watch movies, videos, or shows while working out, or on [road] trips, during breaks at school, who cares if the screen is small at least you are getting entertained

Current-generation iPods can output 480p, which will look pretty good when connected via component cable.

Now that I've been getting Blu's a few of them have digital copies attached to them. I figured I'd be getting more of these in the future, so I'm considering getting a 32G iPod Touch, since it has the biggest screen of the different kinds of iPoda. I thought of getting the newer 160G classic iPod, since I'm an archivist and would rather not have to delete a lot of stuff.

I won't be getting it right away since I'm digging myself out of debt. But when I have enough saved up, I'd pick one up so that I can actually watch them. I try watching them on my computer and it's so choppy. And when I'm at the gym, it would be great when I'm on a machine and if there's nothing on TV, I can skip over to a scene in one of my favorite films.

I already have the copies of FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS and SPEED RACER. And I may have the copies of HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY and THE DARK KNIGHT.
