Make a huge lot sale on eBay?

Sell them to a second-hand store?

Donate them to some form of charity or to your family? Or to me? ^^

DVDs have become almost useless, be prepared to sell them for $1-$2 each, if that.

You could donate them to your public library. Tax write-off.

Your best bet is to sell them on EBay. My friend sold most of his dvds on EBay and barely paid 5 dollars if that to convert them to Hi Def.

You can get more money this way.

However, what I did was go to my local Movie Stop and sold them there and I got store credit to shop in the store. I had about 200 standard DVDs that I sold back and got about 350 - 400 dollars in store credit. I used that money to get new Blus.

You have to keep in mind this was about 6 months ago so you may have less luck now with the value of dvds going down so much.

Take them in to your local FYE and see what they are going to give you for them...which will most likely be less than a dollar per movie. You can also use SecondSpin.com...they are pretty good with there prices.

Just a tidbit that you might want to keep in mind. There aren't too many extended cut Blus. So hang onto those if you have them on DVD.

i.e. Sin City, The Punisher, etc.

Because most are not on Blu and are only the theatrical cut.

Ask an HDDVD owner what they did with theirs. I guess that's just too many coasters

There's been tons of these threads, if you read them you'll get some good sites to choose from. I think a lot of people are using dvdplanet.com and newtownvideo (sp?)

Exactly what we did with cassette tapes when DVD's came out. Sell them, donate them, whatever. There will ALWAYS be people who flat-out refuse to give up their current technology. Someone will always want your DVD's.

Try Ebay or MovieStop. If you don't care about getting money you can donate to the soldiers. I've given some to my mothers friend.

Ask $5 each then haggle down to 2.50, the normal rental fee at most places

I sold my BoB set for $15 2 months ago & some other movies for $2.50 each at a yard sale ( I was asking $5 each). Some of it depends on the movie too.
