Default Which pair for my rears? 5.1 setup

Hello Guys,

Here goes i am still new at this. I was wondering witch pair of speakers i should go with the Polk Audio Monitor 30 or the Monitor 40s? I am running a non HDMI reciever atm a VSX 816 Pioneer. My plan is to replace my cheap Pioneers Speakers that came in a box set. My next question should I buy the rears first or maybe a center or even fronts. I already have stands for my rears so they need to be bookshelfs and I already have a klipsch sub.

Once i have my speakers then i plan on buying 606 for my PS3 I have 200 to spend atm.

Thanks again

Rears should be the last things you upgrade.

Fronts/Centre
Sub
Rears

And this would go great with those Monitor 50's, the Polk CS1 for another $90, so your total will be $270 for a nice 3.1 setup. That's a really nice starting point for under 300 bucks. Then I would recommend the monitor 30's after that, those will work perfectly with the M50's and CS1

Congrats, I went with the same speakers, but I got the CS2 as a center, & Monitor 30 as surrounds.

Stick with 12-gauge wire and Banana Plugs...you'll be fine.
