Default Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City Released

www.rockstargames.com/episodesfromlibertycity
Released April 13th 2010

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City includes both The Lost and Damned, and The Ballad of Gay Tony together on Blu-ray Disc and does not require a copy of the original Grand Theft Auto IV to play.

EFLC Trailer: "There's Always a Girl" HD MP4 | HD WMV

also available on the PlayStation Store

TBOGT Trailer: "You'll Aways Be the King of this Town" HD MP4 | HD WMV

The Ballad of Gay Tony injects Liberty City with an overdose of guns, glitz, and grime. As Luis Lopez, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (a.k.a. "Gay Tony"), players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price.

Developed by series creator Rockstar North and set in Liberty City, Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony completes an epic story and gameplay arc that intersects with the storylines of Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and Damned. With new missions, weapons, vehicles, soundtrack updates and multiplayer content that showcase the over-the-top nature of life at the center of the city, on the other side of the velvet rope where everyone and everything is accessible and available for a price.

FEATURES
  • MISSIONS: All-new storyline missions that provide an over-the-top experience from start to finish. Replay missions for the first time ever in a console Grand Theft Auto.
  • WEAPONS: New high-powered weapons including Sticky Bombs and an Advanced Sniper Rifle, plus new powerful assault shotguns and machine guns.
  • VEHICLES: A fleet of new vehicles, including lavish new cars and a collection of specialty vehicles including an attack helicopter and a N.O.O.S.E. APC.
  • NIGHTLIFE: Play as Luis Lopez, personal bodyguard, confidant, business partner and friend to Liberty City's night life impresario, Anthony "Gay Tony" Prince. Drink, dance, and take part in Club Management jobs at Prince's clubs: Maisonette 9 and Hercules.
  • MEDIA: Brand new TV programming for when Luis feels like staying in - including the debut of CNT's new show Princess Robot Bubblegum and more, plus new internet content to browse while at Tw@ Café.
  • SOUNDTRACK: Brand new radio shows and music added to the Liberty City radio dial - including some new DJs and some returning favorites...
  • MULTIPLAYER: The fan-favorite modes from Grand Theft Auto IV, made better than ever now with new locations and packed full of new weapons and vehicles.
  • PLUS: A full range of new side-missions, mini-games and Trophies.

TLAD Trailer: HD MP4 | HD WMV

Johnny is a veteran member of The Lost, a notorious biker gang. Johnny has been creating business opportunities for The Lost in Liberty City, but his first loyalty must be to the patch he wears on his back and to Billy Grey, the club's President. However, when Billy returns from rehab hell-bent on bloodshed and debauchery, Johnny finds himself in the middle of a vicious turf war with rival gangs for control of a city torn apart by violence and corruption. Can the brotherhood survive?

Developed by series creator Rockstar North and set in Liberty City, Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned features a new main character, Johnny Klebitz, and plot that intersects with the storyline of Grand Theft Auto IV; new missions that offer an entirely fresh way to explore Liberty City with new multiplayer modes, weapons and vehicles; and a diverse soundtrack with additional music, all with the incredible production values that are the trademarks of Grand Theft Auto.

FEATURES
  • MISSIONS: All-new missions and a new storyline that interweaves with the original story arc of Grand Theft Auto IV.
  • THE LOST: Play as Johnny, a member of The Lost Motorcycle Club. Experience Liberty City now with the perspective and lifestyle of a member of a biker gang.
  • WEAPONS: Added range of weapons - including the all-new grenade launcher and sawed-off shotgun. New weapons will be available for use in single-player and in all new multiplayer modes.
  • VEHICLES: Featuring a collection of bikes that include Johnny's own customized heavy-duty chopper.
  • PHYSICS: New and improved bike handling and physics.
  • MULTIPLAYER: Set of new action-packed multiplayer modes, including crazy biker gang competitive and co-operative gameplay.
  • LIBERTY CITY MEDIA: All-new in-game TV, internet and radio content featuring new radio shows and original music.
  • PLUS: New side-missions and Trophies.

Default Episodes From Liberty City delayed

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/107/1078600p1.html

Quote:
Due to what Rockstar is calling "a request by Sony Europe to make some minor content changes to the PAL PS3 version of the game," Episodes from Liberty City won't hit the PS3 and PC until April 13 in North America and April 16 in all other countries.

"Despite our best efforts to work through this quickly, the two weeks were needed to complete submission," a Rockstar release said. "We understand and sympathize with the fans that will be upset by this delay. We want to assure our fans that the minor changes made to the game will not affect the gamers' enjoyment of the games, these will not affect any gameplay elements and were not related to any local ratings requirements."

All the popular stores I checked are selling for £25 now but some were still £30 just a few days ago.

Well, since I already own a copy of GTA IV, I might as well buy the DLC pack for Gay Tony and perhaps The Lost And The Damned. Glad to see another former exclusive from the Xbox 360 make its way to the PS3.

lol Yeah i noticed that too! I thought it was weird how they were all labelled as bronze though, since some were reported as being silver as well. Oh well, i can't wait to play these.

I just came across a SHOCKING discovery...

I just looked at my local Futureshop and Best Buy flyers and they both have Episodes on there for a release date of March 30th with a price of $49.99! Not only does this contradict the delayed date announcement, that's sooo over priced! They're both expansions and each about 1/3 of the missions of GTA4. The God of War Collection is $29.99.

I think i'll wait before getting this now, or i'll see the PSN prices.

I've had this for about two months now on 360, and it's amazing online. Soooo much fun in free mode with the new weapons, vehicles, helicopters, and finally parachutes!

It does take a good length of time to get through these stories but $50.00 is a little overpriced. Plus with the fact that it has all bronze trophies makes this an easy pass for me.

I checked into GameStop this afternoon to pick up a copy of Resonance of Fate for PS3 and saw the PS3 version of Episodes for Liberty City listed as 3/30/10 for $39.99 in the upcoming games list book. Not sure how accurate it is, but the price tag definitely isn't $50.

The problem about that upcoming games list book is that it needs to be updated like every single week because of all the games that are coming out for every week. Gamestop usually only updates that book about once or twice a month.

That $40 price is correct(for America) but your store has not updated the book yet for the actual release date.

Updating that book only takes a few seconds because all they have to do is print it off of their computers that's also the same computers they use to ring up people.

Plus I remember my store and some other stores in my area would even put the upcoming games list to each section like upcoming list for PS3 with PS3, 360 with 360, and so on but those are usually torn off by customers.

Hmmm ok, if i find it at a store here in Canada for $39.99 then i'll get it at that price, no more. I should check the Gamestop around the corner from me.
