Can't wait for this! I work mostly nights, so I really don't get a chance to watch it until it hits BD or Netflix. I don't DVR them, as my DVR seems to be possessed by Regan McNeil for some reason and deletes whatever it feels like.

I thought the first season started slow, so I gave up on it. Eventually, I gave it a second chance. It became addicting. There was a day when I had to work a 14 hour shift, but I just kept going until I had to leave. Good thing for Redbull!

If I had to rate them from the first four seasons, it'd be 2,1,4,3. Asylum and Murder House basically tie. The ending for season two was intense. I enjoyed Zachary Quinto and Sarah Paulson together. Freak Show was a little disappointing. They made it seem like the clown would be throughout the entire season. His story/murder scenes were interesting, but they didn't keep going with him, so he's only in two episodes. Shame.

Coven had a few nice moments, but was so predictable near the end. I ended it annoyed. This picture pretty much shows my thoughts on it.

Bring on season 6! Maybe Jessica Lange will change her mind and come back one day.

I love the series and collected the first 3 seasons, but I came to find out that it's not one I'll revisit enough (if at all) to justify the cost, so I sold them. And if I get the itch, I can stream it. For those who do collect it and haven't seen Hotel, I think you'll be in for a treat!

Hotel was a disaster just like the previous 2 seasons but the show is still campy fun. Hopefully the next season can bring back the quality that the first two seasons had.

The blu-ray is on pre-order from FoxConnect right now for $38.99. I ordered this and 'The People V. OJ Simpson' and used a coupon to pre-order them both for just under $50. I've never preordered with Fox before so I'm not sure if they have a preorder price guarantee but the confirmation email made it sound like everything was all set.

Hotel was by far the best season since 2 as it put the weird and unique back into the show with its creativity and amazing cinematography. Unfortunately, it was far from perfect as its extended run time did not need to be, but it was great overall. As such, I will be picking this season up. I just hope Season 6 continues to improve because man, Coven and Freakshow were so bad I was ready to give up on the show.

Gaga was also incredible in Hotel. She is such a talented singer that I never expected her to awesome be a talented actress.

Does anybody else like the other 4 seasons, but find Hotel kind of unwatchable? It was like a parody of itself, just crap (imo). Asylum was great and had a great story and themes, Freak Show was very charming to me. But this was just gratuitous nonsense with no point other than to feature Ryan Murphy's favorite actors playing dress up.

I finally figured out what the dude's problem is- ever since Nip/Tuck, I see he's wanted to do a show where he can feature montages set to famous music where people dress up and strut around in a gothic setting looking cool. He couldn't quite justify why he was doing it, such as in Nip/Tuck where the doctors could never really do anything out of the ordinary so the montages were odd. Until Hotel where that's pretty much ALL the show consists of, people sauntering around drinking blood looking spectacular while rock music plays.

Yeah I couldn't even finish Hotel. I didn't like Freak Show that much either but I enjoyed it enough to watch until the end.

My Walmart almost never carries Blu-rays of TV shows except for The Walking Dead (although they did have AHS Coven on Blu because there was a Walmart exclusive version).
If you have a Target near you, they almost always have AHS season releases the day they come out on Blu-ray.

The last three seasons have come out on BD within the first 8 days of October (season 1 came out September 25), so they probably just want to stick to that model, even though season 6 is premiering earlier than usual. They probably want it to come out close to Halloween.
I think it's a stupid move, though. Plus, I always like buying the last season on BD and rewatching it right before the new season premieres. I guess I'll have to settle for my DVR recordings of Hotel.

The show is starting early this year. They probably don't think it matters much considering it's an anthology show.

Allegedly. Rotten Tomatoes changed the title to American Horror Story: The Mist, then quickly changed it back. My Charter TV guide also says American Horror Story: The Mist, although on the Charter website they changed it back to American Horror Story Season 6.
It could just be a very clever fake-out on the part of FX, though.

Thanks! I hear it's been a big secret and the trailers don't let on yet. I guess Wednesday we will know. It would be cool if it was a homage to Stephen King.

According to FX, only one of the teasers actually relates to season 6, and the rest of the teasers are just meant to mislead us. If the subtitle really is The Mist, then this would be the accurate teaser:
Although, this teaser doesn't really let onto what the season will be about.
