Default I want Sin City!!!!!

I'm really surprised this insn't even out yet as it has been in some of the inserts on the inside of Disney's BD cases for a while now. This movie will look INSANE in hi-def.

I would venture to say that over 90% of the members here will buy that movie on the spot. Well, what can we do but wait?

Funny, I was just watching the extended version last night. While watching some of the extras, the director Robert Rodriguez says several times that the movie was filmed in HD.

All I could think was "Well, when the hell is it coming to Blu?"

It's a crime really that this movie is not released yet.

Please give us Sin City and Pulp Fiction.

Yea, I saw the blu-ray advertisements and they all show Sin City as a release. But I was recently looking for it to no avail.

They are making a sequel. It should be fairly obvious why Disney has decided to wait to release it.

Have you watched it on DVD upscaled? Its the best up-scaled movie I have seen yet. In DTS no less.

Not comparable to BD of coarse, but still incredible looking.

Because, They're dumbasses? It doesn't make sense why they would advertise it from the beginning and a couple of years later, there is still no release.

It looks good for a DVD release, but if you watched what I watched.

That must be it. It couldn't possibly be that that they sell more copies by releasing it when the sequel is hitting theaters or home video for the first time.

I'm not saying its right or wrong, but I have always hated that practice and have never agreed that in the long run or big picture, they sell any more disks of one title by co-selling it at the same time the latest and greatest movie is being released. I just do not buy into that mind-set.

You act as if the movie is close to completion, Have you heard anything about it, other than the fact that it is coming? Any 1 sheets or teasers? Well, I think it's dumb to advertise a movie in 06 with the release of blu-ray, then wait till god knows when to finally release it.

Common sense would suggest that they have sales data to back up their "mind-set".

I don't care. I was addressing why it has not been released. They waited to release the POTC movies until the third one was released in theaters despite clips showing up many months in advance of a release date. They are releasing National Treasure with National Treasure 2's home video release. They are releasing the Narnia movie at the same time as the sequel's theatrical release. They released Cars at Ratatouille's home video release and I wouldn't be shocked if Finding Nemo's release date ends up being the home video release date of Wall-E. So it doesn't take a rocket scientist to make an educated guess why Sin City has not been released when we know there are talks of a sequel.

The funny thing is that it makes no sense why you bring those titles up. the fact I was trying to make is that it is dumb to advertise the release of a movie when It wont come out for another three years. the movies you mentioned above were not advertised as "Coming Soon On Blu-Ray", But Sin City was. It makes sense why they would wait for the release of a sequel to release the first one on blu, but it is not portraying the studios as smart when they know they are gonna release sin city 1, but then realize they are gonna release a sequel in the next three or four years. it like the head doesnt know what the ass is doing.
