the 120Hz feature is useful if you don't like the blurring of fast motion. i suggest you witness the effect in a store to see whether it matches your preferences.

It's also useful for resolution of 24fps sources to eliminate 3:2 pulldown. I'd recommend looking up the specific model you're looking at to make sure it does that, as some just double the 3:2 pulldown thus basically not doing a thing.

i've seen a couple blu's with 120hz and it looks very unnatural to me. I suggest you see for yourself before buying anything as a lot of people actually prefer standard 60hz.

What your refering to is the motion enhancer. I suggest that you turn it off anyways, imo. Also, there are 60hz tvs that don't have motion blur, look for tvs with better response times 2-5 miliseconds (ms) that reduces the blur better then the 120 hz refresh rate.

Well I just got my blu-ray player for Christmas and I was a little disappointed because it didn't look like it was shown @ best buy. Don't get me wrong I like watching movies on blu-ray cuz it looks SOOOOOOOO much better, but I just want the motionflow so I can FULLY enjoy my movies. I went to Sony Style at the mall and I was told that if my television didn't have a 120hz engine, then I wouldn't receive the same effect. So now I'm stuck with a television that's not producing motionflow and Sony has just release a lcd flat screen that has 240hz. So should I just wait for 480hz or just go ahead and purchase the 240hz. And what type of HDMI cable do I need to get the best picture???
