Default Possible Sony BDP-S300 problem?

Hi I recently purchased the BDP-S300 and watched a few blu rays before i actually updated the firmwire. The front panel on the player showed the running time of any DVD/BLU-RAY being watched at the time, but after a firmwire update (4.40) the players running time section is dead to the world, with a little orange text on the right saying FL OFF. It plays fine but should i get it sorted or is this normal?

That isnt normal. Are there any settings in your players menu for the display? Usually after a FW update all the settings go back to default, but I wouldnt think that should affect your time display.

FL OFF means that the display indicators on the panel are turned off/completely darkened. This is a normal function of the player. Are you sure you didn't hit the Dimmer button on the remote. Try pressing the dimmer button and the remote and you should see the indicators show back up on the display.
