Synopsis:

Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang have fought hard alongside their friends to bring the Relic of Knowledge to Atlas, the northernmost Kingdom in Remnant. However, the futuristic urban-sprawl may hide just as much danger as the Grimm-infested tundra that surrounds it. Enemies and allies will collide as our heroes fight to stop Salem's forces, but banding together is dangerous when you don't know who you can trust.

If WB's design team was smart, they'd keep Penny out of the screen caps to avoid spoilers. And it's funny that Yang and Blake are prominent in the back cover, when they're the least important in this arc.

I totally forgot Penny is technically a spoiler, yeah that was a bad move to include her on the back cover. Also, I guess they wanted good shots instead of worrying about important characters of the volume. I just hope this is a 2 disc set like 5 & 6 were instead of shoving the season and the bonus features on to 1 disc. Though I'm glad they're still keeping lossless audio.

I honestly doubt there would be anymore steelbooks even if the distributor didn't change.

Yea, I figure that'd be the case after seeing the Vols. 1-6 set. You had one job, Cinedigm (or RoosterTeeth)!

Interesting thing now, is the RTX at Home panel yesterday stated this was coming on 9/22, but none of the retailers changed this.

Interesting, I'll let you guys know if Amazon changes the date and ships my copy to me. It's possible that was the original date before COVID delays.

Disc looks and sounds great, even with them going with 1 disc instead of 2, the presentation doesn't seem affected at all. Also, you still have the option to watch them as individual episodes with their own opening/closing credits (the chapters section, which also has a play all feature) or as the movie edit (the main play button).

The one thing I'd hope WB changes up on their authoring of these discs is how Lyrics go. I can't remember if previous Volumes had Lyrics to the songs being played if you turned Subtitles on, but I remember certain Anime had them as a different subtitle than the main one. Wish RWBY will follow.

Otherwise it's a fantastic looking disc.

Wasn't sure which thread to necro, so I'm bumping this one since it has the most recent post. Looks like Viz might be reprinting these now that they have distro. Pre-order for volume 1 is up on Target.
