Anyone trying out Window's 7 Beta tomorrow?

I fear change, so no. I just bought a new work computer and paid extra to keep XP.

7 is a worthy upgrade from xp, i promise.

but to the op..the beta isnt open to everyone

i have a windows 7 preview and hands on thread...check it out

I was wanting to try it, hopefully I will be able to. I just set up a new computer, which maybe you can answer my question about SLI cards

I just want to know if I have to have the same two cards or can I have a different card in each slot..I have a PCIEx16 2.0 and a PCIEx8 slot

The wait is over, folks. Sir Steve Ballmer has announced the availability of Windows 7 Beta and Windows Live here at his CES keynote. The official word is this: "The beta version of Windows 7, Microsoft's next-generation PC operating system, can be downloaded today by MSDN, TechBeta and TechNet customers. Consumers who want to test-drive the beta will be able to download it beginning January 9 at http://www.microsoft.com/windows7."

I'll wait for a bit before trying it out, but I'm very curious to see what it brings to the table.

Who else remembers installing the XP beta when it was first released? Now THAT was a groundbreaking experience

So, what's the big difference between 7 and Vista (and XP)? Aren't they all built on NT?

Visually speaking if you hope to get new graphics compared to Vista, you will be thoroughly disappointed cause 7 is the twin brother of Vista. The differences are in the performance improvements compared to Vista (or so it seems). Also there is an improvement in software compatibility (or so they say).

To sum it up, 7 is the real new OS succeeding XP. Where Vista was just incomplete.

Is there an alternative place to download this at? As it seems, MS' site is hammered.

You know each company is free to allow or not the downloading of their software but you know what really pisses me off ? Microsoft saying that 7 is downloadable today and yet when you go to microsoft.com it is NOWHERE.
So is this some kind of stunt to get attention to Windows 7 ?
