Default PAIR OF RTIA9's FOR $1000 CAD A GOOD PRICE?

just wondering if prices in Canada drop lower than this or is this the best deal I'll get. I'm from a small town 3 hours away from the nearest Futureshop, which is the only place I know that sells them but I don't know if they go on sale often. so is this worth the drive to get now or should I wait. The reg price is $999ea. at futureshop but I bet these go on sale often just don't know how low they go for. anyone from Canada know?

This is the cheapest place I know where you can get a pair of them but there is the $160 shipping plus tax and it's in USD. For the pair, it's a great deal! It's up to you if you want to make the drive though...

Thanks for the link but with the exchange rate that would be quite a bit more with the low Canadian dollar.

I'm really thinking of picking these up though. I just changed my receiver from an onkyo 705 to a yamaha 6190(rxv1800) so I hope this will give me a much better experience. I'll have to get a matching center as my cs2 probably won't do good with these.

I was also looking at the Paradigm monitor 9's for $900cad Brand new without having to drive far but I've only heard the monitor 7s which sounded pretty good. I really like how the rtia9s sound but do the paradigms compare or are the polks more worth it?

The Pardigms compare but you'd have to do a side by side comparison yourself in-home to know which one is best. I'm not being too clear right now because it's 1:12 in the morning and I'm here typing away. I put the link there to show you how good of a deal the RTI A9's are that you can get. Sorry for any confusion there.

Save your money and keep and eye on here:

There's regularly deals you won't get anywhere else, Klipsch rf-82's for 600 a pair, if you look at todays list there's Paradigm Monitor 9's for like 250 bucks.

Edit> pair of Wharfdale diamond floor standers on for 450 bucks! That's a freaking sweet deal.

Edit 2 > PSB speakers system for 1100!!!

Thanks for the links its a good sight iv'e never been on before - I've never actually heard any of those speakers or the older versions of the paradigms but those are some good prices. I can't really listen to any of them since i'm from a small town and the nearest city is 3 hours away. I have those RTiA9's on hold up until tommorrow and I do like the sound of them so the only 2 real choices i have that I have listened to or will be able to listen to in the near future are the Polks and the Paradigm Monitor 9' since they have them at a store the next town over..

now for the price would anyone know which is more worth it? I would be paying $250 diffence for the Polks fronts and center (CSIA6) - total $1400, and for the Paradigms with the CC-290(center) total $1250.

btw my main use is for movies but I do use for music i would say 70% - 30% and my receiver is a YAMAHA 6190(rxv1800) is that enough for the RTia9s without an amp sincei've read those are power hungry speakers?

thanks in advance
