Default looking for t.v. with specific width

hey guys, got a friend who is building a cabinet for their t.v. as we know, it can look great but is obviously fraught with peril. anyway, they said they can have a t.v. with any height but can only be 29.5" wide. yes, i know. not big at all. why they are making such a small built in, i have no idea. any suggestions of what's out there?

The LG.com site usually has spec sheets with each model that include diagrams and outside dimensions.

Pretty much any manufacturer or retailer website will give the dimensions of the TV when you click on it to see it's features.

From my math you are looking at about a 32 inch screen, if it is wide screen - a 4;3 ratio screen could get a little bigger. Even at that it would need to have a small frame around the screen so it doesn't extend beyond the 29.5 inch opening.

Good luck

29.5" wide has to be less than 37" diagonal for a 4:3 TV and 34" for a 16:9 TV

From those numbers you have to substract the bezel size so maybe even sets smaller than 34" for a 4:3 and 31" for 16:9

all of you are right, i have been checking it out. just wondering if anyone had any recs since i haven't purchased anything that small in a long time. including bezel on a 16:9, im finding anything that would fit will be <=30" on avg with a few 32" coming close.
