I bought the "new" PS3 that is not BC so I can not play my PS games or PS2 games, do you think that the Playstation store will eventually have all big name titles? If so what are some ones you are looking forward to?

but i say take the top 100 on both and release them that way

well ive been dying to play the god of war titles, since ive never played them before, before the new one comes out and i cant...

i think the non BC capable units was a huge mistake on sonys part.

none... I have full BC.

BUT ALL PS1 games play on ALL PS3.

That may be true, but not everyone wants to own all the discs for the games they want to play.

That's true... But i'm KILLING my HDD space with ONLY psn games. So i couldn't imagine getting PS1 and 2 games in the mix.

Well you can just delete them and redownload them when you want to play them again. Or if you don't want to do that you also can upgrade your hard drive to allow more games.

i have full BC, and i'm just now getting around to teh god of war games.
also, i'm somwhere in the middle of shadow of the colossus, now i just want dirge of cerberus and okami

i was way too busy w/ metal gear, gran turismo and the snowblind co-op RPGs to play any of those awesome games.

oh, and i just got the MGS essential collection for xmas... i have played the skateboarding mode for hours now lol

PS3 with BC FTW!!!!

I want an updated version of FFVII. that is pretty much the only game I would make time for to play again. Hell, I have only played about an hour of MGS4 and I bought at midnight on release day.

Played crash the other day and wow, how far graphics have come.

Dont people still have ps2's? i have a PSone and 2 still, i wouldnt toss out your ps2 until a firmware comes out with BC.

Ogre Battle, as in Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen, or Tactics Ogre? Hmmm...I may have to get them both out and give them a spin in my PS3...haven't played 'em in ages.

Though I do have to say I preferred the N64 version of Ogre Battle a bit more than MotBQ. Sacrilege, I know. But I had more fun with it than the PSX/SNES version.

I meant March of the Black Queen for the SNES, I can't even count how many times I've played that game. It's absolutely fantastic!
N64 was ok, but I think I was feeling nostalgic so that took away from the experience.

Gran Turismo 1-4 (had 1, got broken, still have 4)
An improved Killzone 1
A PS3 port of Quake 3 (I mean, the 360 is getting one I think)
The first 2 SmackDown! games
Post Acclaim Burnout games
Vice City and San Andreas with the Multi Theft Auto mod from the PS version
Frequency and Amplitude (with downloadable content)
Hardware: Online Arena
The two Maximo games
Rez
The Socom games
Twisted Metal: Black (with the online game as well)

Thats about all I can think of so far.

I think most classics will come out over time. I am fortunate to have a 60gb so I am good.

It is a pain to plug in an old system - so don't get me wrong and I am glad I have BC - but it is better than nothing or using up all your hard drive.

Where the 'money' is - in the classics. Most people did not hang on to all their PS1 games and now they regret not having some of the classics (RE, anything FF).

I expect to see more. Glad I held on to my discs though as I am at 40gb's on a 60gb's. Though I am still upset that there is not PS2 BC standard because the PS2 DEFINED gaming and was the most dominant consule ever. I am not sure anything will ever topple what that system did - and is still doing.

it is still a big sticking point for a lot of non-adopters. Mainly parents. And it is swaying them to the cheaper next gen consules - because regardless, their kids still need a PS2 stand alone. So why not save a few hundred bucks and make your kid happy.

I am older and have kids myself ( 9 & 13) and many of their friend's parents are impressed with the PS3 - but do not want to throw down on one. Many have talked about Wii and 360 obviously ($). So this is from my own limited market research of about 20 house holds. It is a shame.

I have about 90 PS1 and 160PS2 games. Plus maybe another 30 or so that i would still like to get across each.

So rather then listing all of them let me just say if each one were to become available for download I would purchase every single game off the PSN and sell off my library in a heartbeat.
