Default Joe Kane's DVE on blu-ray not planned at the moment

It looks like Avia put out "digital video essentials" for HD-dvd yesterday. So I wrote them an email asking when the release date was for DVE on Blu-ray, here its their response.
"Unfortunately, we do not have any definate plans to release blu-ray
DVDs. We would like to have them in the future, however, we do not
have anything concrete. I apologize for the inconvenience."
Whats up with that!

ForgetJoe Kane. He's been a shameless tool and hack for MS and HD-DVD for many months now. I wouldn't give him a dime or a bucket to...do anything in , quite frankly.

^^ HQV's disc will be better anyways.

No way I'm buying DVE on HD-DVD!

If anything, I want my Blu-ray player calibrated, since I watch that the vast majority of time. Combine that with the fact that I am still holding a grudge against the SD DVD of DVE for the crappiest menu system invented by man....no chance I am buying this.

To think that I was even considering it is embarrassing to me.

Hopefully Digital Video Essentials will one day come out on BLU-RAY. Every format has seen Digital Video Essentials since Laserdisc. It is a very excellent tool to use since it contains home theater tests and calibration tools. Digital Video Essentials has been released on Laserdisc, DVD, D-VHS, and HD-DVD.
Until a BLU-RAY version is released I can always use the 1080I D-VHS and 720P D-VHS versions of Digital Video Essentials.

Right? What the hell were they smokin' when they came up with that...menu system? (I can't even type that with a straight face and without a )

Avia and/or HQV for the win!

When I use DVE I go straight to the advanced calibration thing and still step till I get to the pattern I want. It's much easier that way!

It was very easy on the Laserdisc, you wanted a pattern and the booklet gave you the frame number of it so you just punched the frame number (from 0 to 54,000!) and you were inmediatly there.
Maybe that's why the DVE DVD is so convoluted, It must have been designed like with Laserdisc access in mind. But that don't work on DVD!
