I never thought it was ever actually going to happen, but finally, they are filming Boondock Saints 2. Everyone is back from first, except i havent heard anything about Willem Dafoe, maybe he'll make an appearance?? Damn, they're bringing back all sorts of old movies for sequels these days. I hope this one will live up to its predecessor.

Wow, I can't believe Troy Duffy is back to direct. Did any of you ever see Overnight, the documentary about his rise to success and subsuquent destruction and shunning from Hollywood via his ego during the filming of the original Boondock Saints? It was fascinating stuff, just a great documentary. I mean the guy literally has not worked a day in Hollywood since the first film wrapped in 1999. I highly recommend if you love a good documentary or are a Boondock Saints fan.

DaFoe is not coming back. and some people think that this is not actually happening because no studio is officially backing it yet.

Strongly disagree with that one. Clerks 2 was a great film and well worth revisiting those characters.

On topic, does anyone have a source about this having (or having) and studio support or financial backing? I imagine someone would pony up just based on the trends of sequelitis these days and the films cult status.

I'm still floored Duffy is back though.

yeah I really liked it actually more then the first, I thought the lines were much better.
