According to Nielsen's findings, PS2 accounted for 31.2% of all console usage minutes measured. Xbox 360 was a distant second with 17.2%, followed by Wii (13.4%), the original Xbox (9.7%), PS3 (7.3%), GameCube (4.6%), and "other" (16.2%). The fact that more hours were spent playing the original Xbox than PS3 is, well, surprising. PS2's dominance isn't; last we checked, there were 87.6 bazillion of them in the world (give or take a few trillion).

They have a small group of people that have boxes that send information and they extrapolate data from that.

All I can say is...huh? But then again, all those casual audiences are the reason why PS2 is still going, but how long will they have to suffer through those mostly crappy games coming out?

Original XBox over PS3? That one is mind blowing! I haven't touched my original XBox in 3 years.... well except for when I packed it up to trade in.

I'm not surprised at all; My PS2 still sees more playtime than any other platform at my house. Regardless of what's coming out, there's tons of great PS2 games, and many like me simply haven't had enough time to play some of them until recently.

Yea, who would want to play MGS4, Resistance 1, Resistance 2, Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, Fallout 3, Bioshock, Warhawk, Dead Space, CoD4:MW, CoD: WaW, Folklore, etc, etc...

Those games suck, right?

it doesnt suit the thread to get into an xbox vs ps3 battle, so ill just say this: BOTH sides have great exclusives. aaron listed some incredible ones for the ps3, the xbox 360 has an awesome lineup as well. case closed.

Well I would say count Final Fantasy as an exclusive but it doesn't look like Playstation has that for themselves anymore. With it going to Xbox and Nintendo exclusives
