Does anyone know if Blood Diamond is actually coming to Blu-ray or not? - Blu-ray Forum

The release date is March 20. I see it available at Netflix in Blu-ray (save queue). I see it at Amazon but not available for pre-order.

I am getting nervous about this title because with less than four weeks from shipping it should be available for pre-order. I find it kind of strange that some titles are announced for Blu-ray and then delayed (such as Marie Antoinette).

Does anyone have any information or confirmation that this movie will in fact be released in Blu-ray and not delayed?

I saw this movie at the theater and I left the movie thinking that it will be a great Blu-ray release because of the beautiful locations where it was filmed and it was a great movie to boot.

I haven't heard anything about Warner delaying it, so I'm assuming it will arrive on time, it's still a month away.

And yeah.. it's a good movie indeed - "ja ja"

Blood Diamond on BD or HD-DVD is not currently available for order on Ingram Entertainment's site. This is the site where video stores order movies.
It is only available on DVD in widescreen, DVD fullscreen, DVD Special Edition (2-disc set)

The Blu-Ray and HD-DVD were never announced. Only the regular DVD versions.

I don't buy it. If Ingram is not shipping it to Video Stores, I do not think it will be available. Do not get me wrong? I wish it were coming out on BD.

It will be released on Blu-ray and will have LPCM audio on it.

That may be, but it hasn't been announced for blu-ray yet...

I know it hasn't been announced, but I can assure you it's coming to both HD formats with TrueHD and LPCM on HD DVD and Blu-ray respectively.

Actually no, it's not supposed to come out on Blu-Ray or HD-DVD yet. Warner never announced it. I am guessing it'll be out a month or 2 after the DVD release. But that's just a guess...

I asked this question a few weeks ago.

Depending on where you look the answer is yes or no.

My feeling is the answer is no. If you look at Warner Home Video they show that the movie is only coming out on SD DVD. Hopefully it will come out some day on Blu-ray because this movie will look great in HD.

This guy over at the dvd talk forum list the sales adds for store like a week to two weeks in advance and he as far as i know he has been right all the time and under the CC add it says that the movie will be in stores for dvd, blu-ray, and hddvd.

Best Buy also listed The Black Dahlia HD-DVD in it's flier for that weekend of the release. It never came out.
