That's what my gf told but...... But I don't believe 90 percent of the things she says so I took it lightly.

Geez, you gotta keep up with the government. You are using week old information about the delay not being passed. The original version of it got shot down and a new version passed. The government tries tries and tries again until it succeeds.

hai guise,

newguy here. i have an older, analog tv. i do not care to buy a cable or satalite package, because regular tv is good enough. The 480i picture is very good. I have heard about this digital thing for over a year now and have done nothing. As you can see with how much I care about TV (480i, OTA, did nothing for a year) I naturually complained to President Obama who then urged the Congress to delay the transition, because if I was just given a few more months I would do something, obviously, with how much I love TV by mai actions.

Thank goodness this finally past, because otherwise I couldn't watch the view. Thanks america for more of you taxpayer dollars to go into this program. I will be sure to get my converter box within the next 5 months. 2 years heads up from bush wasn't enough, but 5 months from oBAMA IS.

kthxbait.

If the waiting list wasn't so long, I'd agree with you that there should be no delay. But apparently there was a large desire 2 months before the switch over for these coupons and the program ran out of money. 2 months is plenty of time to get a coupon in the mail and purchase the converter before the switch over. Because of a badly worded funding effort, they were unable to get those coupons in plenty of time.

I applied late December for my coupon, and didn't get it until last week because of the delay in the program. I would have probably purchased a converter with my own money, but why should I spend my own money when I don't have to? That's pretty stupid if you ask me.

They screwed up and are doing the right thing and fixing it. It's not like people all of a sudden flooded the program feb 1st, it's been a couple of months that it's been flooded.

Stupid. Many people aren't going to do anything UNTIL hey can't get normal TV. Then they can pick up a cheapie box.
