Default Epson Powerlite 1080 - Where to buy?

So I've seen a bunch of reviews about this sub-3k beauty...but it isn't showing up on many of my usual buying sites online. Has anyone found a place to get it?

I typically order things online to save on shipping and tax. I'm sure I could go to a store and buy this, but if I get it online somewhere I've got some extra $ for more blu-ray discs!

(I have seen some places charging 4k+ for it, I believe they are mislabeled, that is actually the powerlite PRO projector)

With the buzz this one generated, I hope someone has ordered it.

I'm pretty interested in this particular projector, I want to get myself one of these. However, the MSRP is $2,999.99 USD in the USA while it's $3,999.99 in Canada. Pretty unfair if you ask me especially after using a currency convertor.

$2,999.99 US converted into $3,386.39 CDN.

Anybody here know an Epson insider?

It's not necessarily unfair, does that higher price include the inport duty? If I remember correctly I read about a Rush Concert tour where they were forced by the Canadian Government to pay duty on their sound equipment, only to bring it to the country for a couple of shows...

Use Froogle and look for Epson Prolite Home Cinema 1080.

Cheapest I see is US$2704.

Nintendo Wii's MSRP at launch was $279.99 CDN while it was $259.99 USD in the USA. It's the same with PS3, it's $599 USD in the USA for the 60GB model while it was $659.99 CDN at launch. If you convert the currency price, you'll see that there isn't much of a difference.

Espon's 1080p projector... $600 difference when converted. Big rip-off.
