Default 4 months old nonews of Onkyo releasing HD DVD player

http://onkyousa.com/news.cfm?id=2

I know this is old news to most of us, I just though some people might like to know that finally a decent company, other than toshiba, is releasing an HD-DVD player, so its like 5-2 in terms of decent companies in favor of bluray.

We will have to see if this comes to market in late 2007 or if its canceled. If it comes to market maybe it well be a combo player or they will switch to BLU-RAY. It clearly looks like they might do HD-DVD only.

What do you mean by 5-2...Onkyo is the only decent company ...if they actually produce them.

Right now the total is 5-0

Toshiba is clearly total crap as far as random freezing and player lockup ect ect...from my experience with two of their hd dvd players.
I wouldn't pay 50.00 for those POS players.

If they really go through with this, then I guess that's another company added to my boycott list.

Am I wrong, or is that the old news from early January? If so, where's the player? They may be getting second thoughts, if not, they should be. Am I missing something?

Hmmm... an expensive 'quality' HD DVD player...

That is going against the HD DVD philosophy somewhat isn't it?

Has there been any news on this since CES?
