Default MTV is SO ridiculous

My fiance was watching... and this is embarrassing... the MTV's "Weddings Ball" thing from new years day (she's a bridals consultant) ANYWAY. MTV was giving away "blue ray" players every hour.

How do you not know how to spell it, MTV? Blu. It's Blu. COME ON!!!!! I'm enraged.

Edit: Note that this is mildly sarcastic. I'm not ACTUALLY enraged, though I do think it is ridiculous that this far into the game people who should know better (like people working at MTV) are still giving out bad information.

Are you joking?! Its just misinformation. I'm just pissed that people are so ignorant- people that work in the entertainment industry, at the very least, should know that it is Blu.

That's actually pretty bad for a network to misspell part of a trademark, especially one that is a sponser. It would be like them saying "DeeVeeDee Player" or Nokia "Moble Phone". I have to deal with sweepstakes for a network from time to time and all copy is scrutinized by legal. If there were misspellings I would get raked through the coals. Lucky I just copy and paste what they send me, so technically they would get raked through the coals.

LOL, see that is why I copy and paste what legal gives me. No one should count on me for spelling.

Yes, I remember just after the new MTV started and some of the earliest videos. Boy has it changed, and not for the better.
