Default Mummy/Mummy Return Bonus View Question

I just recently got my first Bluray player and bought The Mummy & The Mummy Returns.

I got a tech question, there is this very annoying BONUS VIEW message in the top corner of the picture, I just cant seem to make it go away. Anyone else as seen this and know how to turn that off? I went to the tutorial for U Control features but that BONUS VIEW message is still there.

Thanks for the help

Somebody else just asked this in another thread too -- odd. If you can post what player model you have, it'll be easier to give you specific instructions.

If you happen to have the Samsung BD-P1500 (the player that seems to be most difficult to figure this out on), there's two ways: 1) go into the player setup menu (by hitting the menu button with no disc in the player), go to display settings, and then turn OFF screen messages. That will remove the icons until the feature is re-enabled. 2) Hit the info button on the remote, then hit display (while the icon is on-screen), and it should go away for the duration of the film.

Most other players seem to just allow you to get rid of the icon by hitting the display button while the icon is on-screen.

Hope that helps, and post your player if you still need more specific help.

JadeRaverLA, thanks a lot, that did the trick, I did option 2 a few times but it just kept coming back, its not a big thing but I am not that attracted by the Bluray features that let's you watch xtra features during the movie.

Its the BD-1500 Samsung I got, got a deal along with my TV Samsung 550

Again tnaks a lot its been bugging me and could not figure out how to turn it off.

Default Quick Fix to Remove Bonus View

I tried this and it works every time. With your remote, simply hit the info key followed by hitting the disc menu key. Quick and easy

I have the Samsung BD-p2550 and was having the same trouble with the new mummy movie and also the new movie Wanted.
But yeah, just like what was said - turn off screen messages and its all good.
Thanks for that!!
