Default PS3 Resume Playback?

HEy i thought awhile The PS3 had a firmware added to it so when you play a blu that you stopped earlier it'd start where you left off. Now i was watching transformer the saturday i stopped it right in middle of the final battle to play FEAR 2 DEMO. When i came back to the movie it started from the beginning. Huh? Is there something wrong? I have the latest firmware. Anybody have the same experience?

it doesnt work on movies that have BD-live like Transformers and also doesnt do it on some Sony titles, a couple Disney titles, and most Warner titles. most titles like that would be like pressing the Green button, red button, yellow button on the remote or if you use the controller there should be like a menu by pressing one of the buttons on the controller(i forget which one) and then you press whichever one saves the current position in the movie and then you go to that bookmark you placed. but yeah not all titles do that feature where you press stop then eject and it resumes playback or pressing Circle then eject. (i dont have Transformers on blu-ray but ive seen this happen to movies that have that bookmark feature and not the one that was made in that firmware update that other titles can do that dont have BD-Live or BD-Java in them)
