Default Receiver help
I bought an Onkyo refurb in July w/ the 1-yr warranty. A channel is not working properly so I called Onkyo. The receiver is covered under warranty, but the local authorized service center has a terrible reputation of products waiting to be repaired taking months. I even had a bad experience a couple years back with a warranty on a tv.
So I am waffling between taking my chances or getting a new receiver. I was looking at the Sony 820, which is $275 online and $399B/M. I am hesitant on taking a chance with another receiver purchased online and then having no local support, should something go wrong in the first 30 days. Thoughts?
