Default Interesting...

Don't know...

but what I want to know is how do you make a film that is shot in 16mm look any better than it did on blu-ray?

The Blu-Ray sadly looks pretty bad. And is lacking any of the extras from the first DVD release.

Agreed. If you have the dvd that's as good as it gets.

Hey, i DO agree with you about this Although, I'd rather have the version we do than a DNR'd one.

I'm curious to see How Evil Dead looks, since both were low budget 16mm sources.

So it's more value to get the DVD?!?

And here I was hoping for more blu-ray propaganda!

I think the BD is pretty good. Pretty darn noisy and drab perhaps, but has some sharpness to it. For $14.00 (and I probably got it for less), I wouldn't complain.

I agree. I adjusted some of the settings on my TV and I'm happy with it. It's dark, it has grain, but it suits the movie.

I just re-read that article that I liked to in the first post. Is it true that it's region A? That sucks. Seems like I'll HAVE to get the DVD now.

Thumbs up

I like my Blu-ray copy of Dog Soldiers.

For the price there is not much to complain about.
