Anyone own the pioneer VSX-1018TXH-K receiver? - Blu-ray Forum

My Onkyo receiver is starting to die on me, so I was looking for a new receiver. I started to look around and this one caught my eye. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1199496527703 Anyone have any expierence with it.

Mine is on order and will be here tuesday. Look around the forums. Everyone that has one loves them. Can be had for under $450 btw so dont buy it for $599.

I got one for Boxing Day at Bestbuy for $399. Love it!

Heres the Official Thread. A lot of it is talk before it came out, about half way through the pages you get input from owners. Good luck, and I would definitely recommend it.

Just got mine set up and so far so good. calibration was a snap and it even looks amazing...the total package. and don't get it at best buy, got mine at 6ave.com - look for a coupon code to save 6%!

I just put this reciever into a client's house. It was the first time I had ever used it in an installation, so I brought it to my house first and hooked it up in place of my onkyo 705 and it sounded SO much better than my Onkyo. The bass was tighter, and the highs were spot on. It inspired me to go Pioneer for audio. I went with the vsx-03txh for my own system and I couldn't be happier and neither could my client with his 1018.

Its a great receiver it was the one I was gonna buy, but it wouldn't fit, so I went with the 2nd option a Sony 920, it is a great receiver too.

I got one too on Boxing day for $399. Awesome receiver, also got a 4 year service plan for $5!

Two thumbs up from me, too! I bought my first Harmon Kardon receiver from JR.com...so I called them up and they price matched the lowest price I could find with free shipping.

I have sold the 1018 to a few different customers whom all seemed very happy with them.

I've had mine since they were brand-spankin new... no problems on setup or calibration. I replaced an older Pioneer Elite unit and I could not be happier.
