Default Question about SLI Vid Cards...

Can you combine two different Vid Cards, like I have a Galaxy GeForce 9600 GT 1GB mem and want to get another for SLI. Just wondering if I have to get the same type card. I am guessing I need the same exact card. Thanks for the info.

I've always purchased two identical cards but my understanding is that if they are of the same series, they should still work together.

You don't need the same card. They just need to both be SLI.
