My Highlander order is showing it shipped - Blu-ray Forum

Hey I was checking my order update on The season 1 set of Highlander on Blu-Ray and it said that my order has already shipped. I'm a bit confused thoe. I meen there has been no update news about this set. According to the Heroeswebsite its not due out untill Feb. But I called them about a month ago to get an info on the Highlander Blu-Rays. And the lady I spoke to said the season 1 set will not be out untill Fall 2009. Ok if thats the case why is my order showing it has already shipped? I'm just a bit confused. If there already shipping well thats cool.

Mine says the same thing -- that it's shipped. But there's no tracking number, I got no email saying it was shipped, etc.

(But Legendary Heroes is "legendary" for somewhat wonky customer service.)

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I just checked the credit card I used.And its not showing on my credit card yet.
At first I was not going to order this as I have been happy with my Highlander DVD's. But after seeing the asking price they wanted for The Blu-Ray price I figured what the heck. So I order it.

I remember paying CRAZY amounts of money to buy the seasons in those (admittedly very nice) VHS boxed sets back in the day.

The DVD sets have some of the most rewarding and exhaustive special features I've ever seen on ANYTHING.

Can't wait to see what the picture quality on the Blu-Ray is like, and if all the extras make the transition.

(As a side note, I used to work for Adrian Paul and his children's charity, the PEACE Fund. EXTREMELY nice man, and a hard worker.)

At the bottom of the order page, it says:

"NOTE: This order has already shipped or has reached the final stages of processing. Therefore this order is no longer editable."

I'm guessing that's their way of saying, "You can't cancel your pre-order."

I hope this does well enough that all the seasons get released. Classic show that got better and better.

FWIW, there were some people getting their BoB orders prior to street date, as well.

why is amazon, or tower not selling this?

When the series originally came to DVD, they were only available directly from the Highlander people (who run Legendary Heroes).

Eventually Anchor Bay picked them up for wider distribution, but these releases have always started out as internal efforts.

These are also the international versions, which have four more minutes than the versions shown in U.S. syndication. Sometimes those extra four minutes make a really big difference. (The episodes were chopped up even further when they were shown on the USA Network.)

You're getting Season 1 of Highlander on BD?!?

Let us know what you think of the set. I heard season 1 was shot on 16mm (not sure I believe that, though) so I'm curious to see what the transfer quality is like.

I so want it - I'm a huge fan but never had the budget to buy the DVD or VHS - and I'm totally envious.

Will do. The set's only $39 for 22 hour-long episodes. The website says they don't ship until February, but our order statuses say "Shipped."

We shall see.

I've sent an email to Davis Productions to confirm/deny. My guess is that it might be a glitch though, it's awfully early

Maybe there all packed up and ready to ship.But there just waiting to Feb to ship it? Wierd.
You think if the discs was already done and ready,there would be some news?
Is the discs 1080i or 1080p? Will it contain DTS-HD or Dobly True HD audio?
I guess we will find out when ever?
Yeah would love to have the orginal movie on Blu-Ray as well. Would love to hear Queens awsome music in DTS-HD.
Yeah Flash Gordon would be great too on Blu-Ray. Loved Brain Mays gutar version of Here Comes The Bride at the wedding scene.
