Default New to the Blu-Ray.com

I have a panasonic TV Model TH-43PX75U with a panasonic Home theater SC-PT650. I got a panasonic Blu-Ray at Christmas DMP-BD35. How do I connect the Blue-Ray to play in the home Theater. I`m using HDMI on both to the TV. How do I connect to get my 5.1 surround sound???

Panasonic told that these 3 will work together , just waiting from them for a answer.

Yea, they will work. But the only way I know how to hook your BluRay player is going to give you 2.1. I think you need something with HDMI in and out. In order to get 5.1 with BluRay. You only have an HDMI out, for the DVD player. I am not sure, as sound is not my specialty. But this is to my understanding how it works.

I believe Coaxial Cable (I think thats what it's called). This will be your best connection.

You can't do it. Looking at the manual, the best you can do is use the L/R from the AUX in. That's component cables and nowhere near that good of quality. It just doesn't have any inputs for HD sound from other sources. The 650 is a glorified DVD player with speakers attached to it and not a receiver.

This is what I am doing from my Sony BDP-S350 to my Logitech, temporary... But it sounds better then nothing. Can't wait to have a proper setup. For the OP, if you can take it back and exchange it. To so now and spend the extra money. It will be worth it now for you, then latter. If you don't well, it will be better then what's on the tv.
