HELP Yamaha 663 or a Onkyo 806??? - Blu-ray Forum

Which one should I go for. I need a new reciever now! I can not stress how important it is, as the one I have now is dying...and it's outdated anyway. The Yammy will run me about $500 and the Onkyo will run me about $630

Go for the 806 for just the extra HDMI inputs alone. Plus it has many other great features the 663 doesn't have. The 663 is supposed to be more like a beginner receiver and the 806 is more higher up. If you have the money, definitely go for the 806.
