Is this because they didn't replace your other one, or was that at least a contributing factor?

My thoughts as well. Just get another Harmony and a replacement plan for it at Best Buy or Circuit City. There are very few manufacturers who will fix/replace something for free after the warranty period is up. One exception is Canon—my multifunction printer was three months out of warranty when it broke, but they fixed it for free anyway.

Yeah, but Brett said he's been through three within a short period that all went out on him. I wouldn't blame him for wanting to look elsewhere.

It is 50/50 really i am just wanting to see what else is out there. I am sure there are some great remotes on the market apart from the harmony series. The phillips pronto series looks very good indeed

I had a Pronto 9600 and sent it back because I didn't find it very user friendly (but others may disagree)

The Universal Remote controls are nice, a little expensive, but allow you to hook up light switches and such. Not as user friendly, but way more capable.
