Looked good to me from what I saw and read. Let me know what you think.

I especially am interested in the map editor.

Far Cry 2 was an almost blind buy for me. The first hour or so I thought it was nothing really special. But after blowing up a fleeing jeep with an old bazooka, and seeing the flying debries of the vehicle/adjacent huts and the dry grass catching fire, I was thrilled.
The scenery is just amazing, huge map with many different "beautiful" locations.

The fact that the enemies do respawn can be annoying, but because of the long distances you sometimes need to drive to get to the next mission, it actually makes sense.

I bought this when Play started selling it for £17.99. Still haven't opened it as playing through Dead Space for the second time

Multiplayer is ok, I enjoy it. The only problem is the network.. some nights you can't connect or will get dropped often. I've been playing alot online lately, trying to get some trophies.

well gave it a go tonight and I have to say so far its a decent enough game! Tried the multiplayer too and it was quite good. I am not normally one to play online shoot 'em ups so I cant really compare it with anything. The game its self will definately keep me entertained on these cold nights

I guess I should have played a few more missions.. I just sold my sealed copy (I rented it to try it out on my BB plan first). Well maybe another rental is in my future, I kept my save from doing about 2 missions.

Every video game purchased should be a blind-buy with rental prices these days.

Far Cry 2 is very well-made and enjoyable. Definitely try out the map editor. So much fun.

The game can be slow at first as you work into the story deeper and try and figure out where the heck you are going.

But...

Once you open up both maps and learn where things are and how mass transit works, it's much much more fun. You can begin to take control of your game at that point and really pull off some neat stuff.

I had to put it down simply because there was a HUGE flood of games around it's release and it was hard to stay focused. I'm probably just going to start from scratch again with it and really work it next time around... Until the end of Feb when Killzone2 drops anyway.

That is biggest problem in game. Usually they can respawn very quick. Sometimes I drive about 5 minutes and U-turn and drive back. There is same enemies again. Still I like game.

One weird thing, using Iron sight, weapons do more damage. You need more hits shooting from the hip than using Iron sight.

One hint I just love flaregun and very dry grass... Burn Baby Burn

I have to say I am really enjoying this at the mo and happy with the blind buy! yeah, it takes a while to figure things out but it is graphically brilliant and I love the environment - really neat how it changes from night to day.. early morning haze around the place looks super until the sun burns through and you can almost feel the high temperatures! All of a sudden it got windy too!! nice touch.. Free roaming animals too that panic at the sound of footstep and scatter into the distance.. you could spend ages just walking/driving around and still have fun. I am only really getting in to the missions how - not to easy for the average gamer like myself!

I was thinking at first how I made a mistake with this game.
That changed after a few hours. Now I'm really enjoying it!
I'm going through single player for the second time now at the hard setting.
It seems different mission wise from the regular setting.
There's plenty to see that gets missed 1st time through.
