Default Polk Surround Bar questions?

Bought the blu-ray, the 1080p tv and I'm ready to go.

have a receiver that isn't 7.1 but is an older Pioneer that is 5.1 and I also already have a sub.

I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on surround sound and I'm not really excited to buy 5 speakers and run the wires but I am looking for a better audio experience for my Samsung BDP-1500.

I ran across the Polk Audio Soundbar (42" version) at CC for $219. As I said, I already have the receiver and the sub and this would really be my easiest option.

Does anyone have the soundbar or can anyone comment on the "surround" experience? In a big store it sounded good from the center but the surround wasn't really noticable.

Options please.

See link for the Polk Soundbar. I am looking at the 42" version.

Oh, I have a 40inch Samsung TV.

I own a Zvox sound Bar speaker. Sound Bars are convenient and better than the TV's speakers, but they are not a substitute for a true 5.1 or 7.1 surround system. Some higher quality and very expensive sound bars from Yamaha do a better job, but for that kind of money I prefer multiple speakers.

Here are some options from Yamaha, Boston Acoustics, Definitive Technology, Philips, Polk, Sony, etc.

Zvox specializes in sound bars and they are significantly cheaper.

I bought this tonight and hooked it up but I haven't had any major time to mess around with it yet.

Waiting for the wife to go to bed before I really get into it.

Going to sample Underworld to see how it sounds.
