Default Screens of a calibrated picture vs not cal.

Does anyone have comparisons or screenshots of theire calibrated sets in action. All of this time on the boards I've never actually seen anyone post pics and say this is what a calibrated set looks like. Thanks

Pictures never do TV's justice. I'm not sure why you're looking for pictures...

well, for one...you're at the mercy of the camera taking the picture. Sure any picture might look good, but is not an actual representation of the real life viewing experience.

then, you have to think about the PC monitor/TV youre viewing the image from...

too many variables to speak of when refering to a posted picture on the internet. Differences between a calibrated TV and a non calibrated TV probably won't be noticed through 'posted pictures'

Check Out Elways about half way down the first page and then the ones on the 2nd page, you can see a noticeable difference in the amount of detail in the picture, especially on the transformers pics. His panny 85u has been professionally calibrated

see, you really cannot compare "pictures".

My projector is professionally calibrated...I need to get a better screen before I show you guys. I am also going to be picking up a Polk Audio CSi A6 center channel to go along with my SDA's, am going to move everything around, am upgrading my old surrounds to some older Polk Audio Monitor 5jr's and possibly be upgrading my back surrounds to some Polk Audio Monitor 4's. While I'm at it, I think I'm going to ceiling mount the projector.

DUde the difference in thos pics is not noticeable. Ive seen it in stores it does look kinda better. I woder though what settings they have the tv that is not calibrated to show off the calibrated tv. My buddy had his tv calibrated, I cant tell the difference between ours.

The likely culprit is a shabby "ISF" calibrator. Who did the calibrating?

ok post elways before and after pics, not elways and another members. you can see the difference in elways from pre calibration to after. Especially in the transformers pics of the plane/helicopter...whatever you want to call it. the detail in the blacks is increased considerably after calibration

Again, posting pictures of ANY TV, does not do it justice. This applies for projectors, plasma's, etc.

I think pictures can be useful, but most people aren't very good at taking properly lit and framed pictures, especially of their televisions. But I've seen some impressive photos of TV's.
