United Kingdom Crank - why is it not on blu ray?

I'm a fan of the guilty pleasure that is Crank 1. Crank 2 was proper ott for me, but Crank 1 I could watch at least twice a year.

Now, how the hell is Crank 2, the sequel, available on Blu ray over here in blighty while Crank 1 is nowhere to be found????

I know it's a pain isn't.
I ended up getting my Blu Ray version of Crank from Australia.
Watched Crank 2 for the first time last night, not as good in my opinion.

Different distributor's for both films here in the UK.

Crank 2 is Lionsgate and Crank is a Universal title. Though yes I do think it's strange Universal haven't released a BD of it here.

This is the release to get, I'm sure it won't cost you much at all to import it since you're in the UK already (only cost me about $23 or so to get the Steelbook shipped to the US).

Double pack from Holland £16:

Single releases also available but the double pack... well it's just about owning a "complete collection box".

Crank is actually getting converted to 3D, so that might be a release we can look forward to in future.

The complete Crank collection
There are only 2 movies so any "collection" would mean it's both movies right? So an incomplete collection of only 2 movies doesn't exist because if it was incomplete it wouldn't be a collection anymore...

I have the German steelbook. This is definitely a film where it's necessary to watch it in HD, just for the picture quality. I don't mind admitting that I enjoy both the Crank and Transporter franchises

I have the German release as well.

Worth it for the additional scenes.

Fully English friendly.

[Show spoiler]
You wouldn't happen to know if the first one is the extended version by any chance? Or is it identical to This one? That listing also says it's 84 minutes, which would mean it's actually shorter than all the other ones, not just the extended one. Probably an error.

I bet they wouldn't have put that on the UK disk if we ever got one.

Yes the subs are optional, I had no complaints with the PQ cant say how it compared, being a while since I watched it
the extras are also English think the German subs are forced on them.
