![]() Big fan of this one. Great villain role for the underrated Jeff Kober. Another old MGM horror DVD in need of an upgrade to cross off the list... Last edited by BarnDoor; 06-13-2014 at 08:32 AM. |

I think the last time I saw this was back in '98 on cable. I think. It's been such a long time yet I saw this movie a ton back when it was in theaters back in the day. In my neighborhood there was a dollar theater called The Yeadon theater and this must've played there for months on end. Heck, I may have to get this just for the nostalgia.

Didn't enjoy this one when I first saw it in a theater double billed another film. Ironically I remember this film more than the one I paid to watch

I remember Tracy Griffith being pretty easy on the eyes as I had a huge thing for redheads back when I saw this one in the theaters in 1990. The movie, no, I don't really recall much except it was a pretty standard thriller with a supernatural twist. If the price is right, I may take the plunge.

I second that Tracy Griffith was easy on the eyes but am stunned -- and don't understand why -- someone selected it for Blu-Ray when there are so many better titles in the MGM vaults that also have substantially more fan support. And I agree also that Eve of Destruction came to mind...another poorly received flop from the same era (from the same company, no less). It's a very pedestrian and forgettable film with little going for it (I only saw it once on VHS), and was almost universally hated by critics and most people who saw it (the few who did).
It's just baffling. They have a whole vault of MGM titles and THIS is one of the first titles they choose? Like Eve of Destruction, this is one of those "huh?" type of announcements that isn't going to sell (and then they'll come back years from now bemoaning that nobody bought it). Certainly doesn't belong in a "CLASSICS" line of releases lol. Last edited by DMRI2006; 06-13-2014 at 04:38 PM. |
