Default MGS4 and kill count check

Is there anyway to check your kill count during gameplay? I get to the mission briefing and see 5 kills but I am absolutely sure I didnt kill anyone, only have the stunning weapons armed. I wanted to go back through my different saves to see at what point I was awarded a kill but cant seem to find any screen to to do this.

Unfortunately no. You can only get those stats at the end of each Act.

At any point in the game save and exit to the main menu.

Go to mission briefing and load the save you just made. Select the Act 2 Mission Briefing (since it's the easiest to skip to the part where you have control of MkII). The bottom scroll bar during the briefing will display the stats of the save game you loaded, giving you a the info you need. I used this trick often while getting beating Big Boss Extreme with no kills or alerts. for the best emblem.

Yeah just go to the Mission Briefing. I may not be recalling Act 5 correctly but is that the Act with the guys in powersuits? They look like robots so it's possible you killed them accidentally. Also, did you knock anyone off a wall/roof?

This is my 3rd playthrough and it is on the scene while I am on Drebin's car. I used the Shotgun with stun bullets on the power suits. I am not aware of shooting anyone down from the rooftops. Metalheadisme thanks, I am going to give that a go. I was so darn pissed to see I killed 5 guys and have no clue how I did that.

You may have accidentally killed a person by causing them to fall to there death, such as someone who was hanging and fell, or simply your bullets were part of a domino effect.

Wierd yeah the powersuits was the most obvious thing I can think of (I made that mistake personally). I used the V-Ring rounds in the shotgun on that part of the game too as well as stun grenades. Did you use the mounted machine gun on his truck at all? Is it possible you hit ppl on accident while aiming at the robots? 5 is a lot of kills to do on accident though.
