Home vs Theatre - is time a consideration?

So, most of us are on this forum because we like the experience of movies at home more than theatre. It's been threaded ad nauseum - cell phones, sticky seats/floors, poor projection, muddy sound, etc etc.
However, how do you feel about having to wait for your movies? There's stuff out now (The Wrestler, Benjamin Button, Slumdog Millionaire, etc) that I really want to see, but I'd rather spend $30 on the blu-ray (or rent it) than spend $30 for my wife and I to see it in the theatre (incl popcorn, etc). However, the wait is killing me, as I'm getting lots of recommendations from friends to see these.

Is this a consideration for y'all? Or are you happy just waiting to see stuff on everyone's favorite format?
