I Think the German Section Needs More Love.

The German subforum on here has been pretty much dead quiet. We need some reviews on German Blu-ray releases. The last German Blu-ray reviews was a few months back on Clash of the Titans 3D. It seems like the UK and French subforums have their own review threads for Region Free and Region Locked releases for those countries, why not for Germany?

So far the emphasis on reviews has been determined by priority - unique releases, traffic, etc. However, if resources allow, in 2011 both the Canadian and German sections - (I hope) - would come very close to matching what the site has done with the UK and French sections.

Cool. If I was still living in Deutschland, I would love to contribute more to the section.

I'd love some more interesting German releases, but the issue (in my opinion) is that many of the unique German releases are not English-friendly. Off the top of my head, I can only think of a handful of German discs that would probably be worth reviewing:

Strange Days
The English Patient
Salvador (although this is supposed to have excess DNR)
Control (although a Canadian disc is coming in early 2011)
The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (apparently sports English subs for the non-English dialog)
Judge Dredd
The Rainbow Thief (although this is supposed to be of low quality)

But there are many more, especially of Italian Westerns and a few German classics, that are simply not English-friendly.
