Mirrors PQ? - Blu-ray Forum

Ok so I am watching mirrors and its grainy as f#%&! My question, is it intentional, was it shot this way to give it a gritty look/feel? Or is it just a bad transfer?

I own The hills have eyes on blu import and it had the same look, same director.

I was guessing but wanted to know for sure if that was the case. Sometimes people defend bad transfers with "thats the way the director wanted it to look!"

Is this movie really scary? Most horror movies suck nowadays.

I'm kinda jaded in regards to bein' scared watching horror movies, but yep, this one had some "edge of your seat" scenes. The reviews I earlier read were mostly ok, so for a blind buy, I was well satisfied. There was lots of apparent grain, but it didn't deter me in the least. Not the best looking BD I've got, but far from the worst.

Yes, it's grainy. That's the way it is.

I watched it last night and I didn't think it was very scary. Of course, it's been a while since any movie has had that effect. These "scary" movies that come out are not really that scary if you think about it. It's more about whose movie can have the most blood and guts routine.

Although it was a pretty average horror movie I was just glad it got the R rating and had some gore. Im sick of the PG13 japanese remake/wanna be films they have been releasing...if its going to be a terrible horror movie atleast give me some blood and gore.

I thought it was great for about 3/4 of the movie. The last part changed a little and although entertaining wasn't quite as good (imo). Anyway, it was a pretty creepy movie and made me jump a few times. I really liked it.
