How do I transfer TV shows purchased on PSN from my PS3 to a Blu-ray Player?

I have Season 3 of The Walking Dead on my PS3. All episodes were purchased from the PSN. I backed up each episode onto a USB stick and took it to my parents' home to install on their blu-ray player (it's a Sony make, but I don't know which model).

When I tried to play the episodes on my parents' blu-ray player, I could only access a folder which said "PS3". Other than that, I could not get into the folder to access each episode.

Is there something I'm missing? How can I transfer the episodes from my PS3 to my parents' blu-ray player?
