Bill Hunt says that Cars will be 2-disc. Awesome if true.

Its a Pixar movie and its cute but would rather have Monsters Inc or Toy Story, 50 years old and I can watch these toons over and over.

I really didn't like Incredible and thought cars was much better. I really want Toy Story 1 and 2, Monsters Inc. though

I love The Incredibles to bits and the Toy Story films are just as good.
Those are must-haves for me on Blu-ray. |

Monsters Inc would be such an awesome release, I really hope they do it soon, Cars was too moralistic for my tastes, though I am sure that the girlfriend will want it, so it isn't like I have much choice in the matter.

Sony should work on a 100g disc to avoid these 2-discs set since 200g disc are possible confirmed by TDK. Either way I'm still looking forward to Cars in HD even though I haven't seen it but I do think I'll like it better then Incredibles...

current players, as far as we know, aren't compatible for movie discs over 50gb

Dealers also haven't received the UPC codes to pre-order Con Air, The Rock or Crimson Tide that was listed on 6/5 with Cars. Those titles also are not up for pre-order anywhere or any retail store I have checked.
I'm not sure what Disney is up to. Hopefully not pulling a "Fox". |

Huh. There are so many titles coming out on BD I sincerely doubt that. Even if they were dual-format (which many aren't) BD hardware and software sales far outnumber HD sales now I honestly don't think one title (and you're probably counting The Matrix sets) would make much of a difference.
Just look at the number of Blu pre-orders for late May to July and you'll see what I mean. Even without Cars it will be difficult to keep up. |
