I'd like to point out that the Special Edition DVD of this film never came out when announced seven years ago...

...and as it stands, this release will contain that bonus material.

Does that mean Echo Bridge will release a special edition of The Faculty?

I've never seen this, but a Desperado-era Salma Hayek can't be ignored.

According to it's Wikipedia page the film was made-for-tv for Showtime.

I thought it was great. Good if you like Rodriguez stuff, gets fairly dark. It was on show time or the movie channel this past week

I'm gonna bite at that price. It will be a blind buy for me but I was a huge fan of Rodriguez's early work and have always been interested in seeing this.

This is actually the only film of his I haven't seen (unless you count Four Rooms where he directed a segment) and I believe at least in the US it was made for Showtime and skipped a theatrical release which explains why it has been somewhat hard to find

I saw this on Showtime the first time it was shown. It was part of series that they did back in the day, and I have only ever had it on VHS. It is a very weird movie that fits in with early Rodriguez type stuff. A very weird part for Arquette, and Hayek looks amazing. It also has a very early Sol Starr in it before he was the liquor store attendant in From Dusk til Dawn. For under $10 its a must buy.

If you've never seen this movie it is quite awesome. Has some very funny gags and just oozes 50's coolness. There is alot of interesting facts about the movie aswell if you look them up. To bad echo bridge is releasing it as they have one of the worst track records with blu-ray's. Still this was never released on DVD and this is probably the only time it will get released on disc.

As for The faculty just get the Alliance blu-ray as it is a 1:85 movie and alliance only does 1:78 transfers so there is really no difference. Alliance is also way better than echo bridge (just compare from dusk till dawn). I own the From dusk till dawn Alliance release and I think it is awesome. Despite what others say the PQ was good and the AQ was blow your face off!!! Anyway echo bridge majorly sucks but if it's for RoadRacers then I'm buying.

I wish they'd put out the entire Rebel Highway series on blu-ray. They could do one of those Multi-Feature releases with four or five of them, similar to how they released the Hellraiser and Children Of The Corn movies.

From what I remember, Roadracers was an average entry. Not one of the best, not one of the worst. It is a fun movie for fans of camp, B-movies, and 50s/60s nostalgia.

April 17th?? Just walked out of Best Buy and this was already sitting on the rack with the new stuff when you walk in the door for $7.99. Came out to the car and took a quick look on the laptop to see what this one was all about as I never heard of it. Guess I can take a chance on PQ for $7.99. Going back in to buy it ....
