I recommend getting and watching them in the order the story happens. IMO none of them are vastly better or worse than the others, so there is no need to jump around.

The first one has little better PQ - but starting from the second the PQ is mind blowing. I personally picked up 3,4,5 - I've seen 1 more than enough times and not too fond of 2.

Honestly, I was sick from work one day last week or the week before, i I gave myself a Potter Blu marathon. Out of the older (first 2 or 3) movies, honestly the one that surprised me the most was Chamber of Secrets. The PQ in some of the scenes is simply amazing, to the point like I felt like I was on set watching them film.

I got the Chamber of Secrets for Christmas and instead of getting the movie, I got a People PC startup disc. I was wondering what I should do?

I've watched all 5 HP's and loved them. I'm glad I've got them on blu because I'll probably watch them all again when the next 2 arrive.

Personally I'd recommend buying 3-5. I think part 1 is pretty bad, and 2 not a whole lot better. I think the series improves dramatically from 3 on.

Agreed...one and two are the weakest of the bunch as far as PQ (but still are very good), three and four are the next best, and five is just plain stunning!

If you are only going to get 3 of the movies, and absolutely have to get the first, I would get 1, 3 and 5. If you can though, get all of them.

I actually went out yesterday to get them. I purchased 1,3,4. I am planning on picking up 5 tomorrow. I have seen them all I just didn't really like the second one that much.

I agree. Also, 1 has the worst PQ and number 5 has the best 5/5 PQ.

It depends on what you will be watching your HP series on...

I've heard many complain about Ocean's 13 being grainy and HP 1&2 not having acceptable PQ...especially since there are many dark scenes throughout all of HP movies...

I totally disagree with both fronts...all HP movies are great...with OOP having most eye candy due to its technologically advanced graphics...so, on my 50" plasma, the dark scenes are still detailed as my contrast ratio is 10000:1. So, if you have an LCD with low contrast ratio, you probably won't like 1, 2, or 3. But, if you have a plasma with high contrast ratio, you will love all 5 HP movies as they are all great!!!

Go to Walmart...for $19, buy all the HPs, 1-4, and the 5th one for $30...watch them in order...all I know is, by watching all 5 (via set I purchased from BJs for $104) in order, I was able to understanding each film with super clarity. I now know why Rowling is as rich as she is...she is simply brilliant!

I agree. Those movies are just fun to watch. I think as far as fantasy movies go LOTR is the only series that tops it in terms of story.
