Default question about tower speakers?

How important is the speaker cabinet shape I saw few tower speakers with two different shapes curved or rectangle. My question is curved cabinet perform better than rectangle shape? Also what is the advantage of Real Wood Veneers vs vinyl?

The theory behind a curved cabinate is that it eliminates standing waves inside the cabinate. The curved shape helps angle and bounce the sound waves all over the cabinate therefore(hopefully ) reducing standing waves and frequency nodes.

A curved surface is also less likely to flex than a flat one, assuming proper design. This reduces sympathetic vibration.

As to real wood vs. vinyl: one looks astounding, one looks like shite. Guess which is which.
