Default 8 Mile in hand :)

Thankyou to Brad1963 for telling me he had saw a copy to purchase at a store in cali by him. I ended up emailing them and they sent it out to me that day.

Going to check this out tonight. I assume it was pressed up and is just being held somewhere the same way blades of glory was. No idea why they are holding it other than maybe for Eminems new album release in 2009 sometime

only 1 copy. I asked if they had more because members of another forum that I am friends with had wanted it as well. I see on ebay that they have a few copies, but I contacted the guy and he told me it was simply a preorder

edit:

amoeba (spelling?) music in hollywood, CA

Nice find. You should eBay it to see what kind of money it fetches.

I called that store, and the other Amoeba's, and non of them have any record of ever having that title in stock. How is this possible?

brad posted in that other 8 mile thread and I just ended up contacting the store he saw it at. I spoke to a woman and told her I wasnt in cali and that I needed it shipped. She put me through to a diff department and he went and sent it out to me. Not really sure what to say.

I was told from someone on another forum that it is a review copy. So I assume if it is out there that it is in small numbers

The store was Amoeba records on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, across from the Cinrama Dome.

ya know I thought about that, but i'm such a fan of the film that I just want it for myself. I know it will be released down the line and I could just buy it again, but rather not even bother selling it.

judging by this pic and the UPC being whited out it probably wasnt meant for retail sale or taken from a set(ask for that set)I cant remember what it was but it had 2 other titles(jarhead and kingdom I think)

When Universal sends out screeners, they put a sticker on the front that says its property of Universal Studios and they also put a sticker over the UPC as you see above. It looks like a review copy.

Odd, though, as I didn't receive a review copy. My guess is that it slipped out of the replicator by accident (hense the review copies making it to retail stores). This will be another case of "Blades of Glory" collectible until the actual release hits stores.

i dunno if it could reach blades of glory levels, but who knows

I'm a fan of the movie so dont care to try to profit off it. I attempted to get more copies and wasnt even going to sell them, but instead give them to friends on the forum

Bingo.

Yep, Universal made an odd error in packaging this with the action box set. Very few made it out. Hopefully they will add the title to a future Drama box set.

Is this a VC-1 or AVC encode? Not that it really matters but I would find this info interesting if you could check
