Sleeping Beauty DVD vs Blu-ray? - Blu-ray Forum

This may sound stupid. I do have Sleeping Beauty on Blu-ray but I have good HDTV and I have a PS3 on the way. Is there a big difference in sound and quality with Sleeping Beauty. The DVD seems to be a very good quality. Maybe someone can post caps? I won't know till I get a HDTV in about a month but is the difference noticeable? The review gave the quality and sound all stars so I am guessing the quality looks great?

SB blew the b-jesus out of my eye's. I couldn't believe what I was seeing on blu ray. Don't know about the sound, but usually any HD codec gives extra oomph. Disney never disappoint (yet).

The scene where the fairies go small and enter that little toy house thing is just incredible. The artwork shines like its magic or something.

richie is right about disney never disappointing.. neither does pixar. both make excellent blu-rays and SB is not an exception. they are great!

the thing that really blew me away with SB was the colors. Disney used some unusual colors back in the day and watching in Blu, I was stunned

One of the best reasons to have a blu-ray.

Blu-ray version kills the DVD version by a mile.

It was absolutely STUNNING. Not just the PQ, but also the surround mix. I was glued to the screen and I didn't even get up to go to the bathroom. I found it interesting that an oldray DVD of the Sleeping Beauty restoration was included with the BD. For myself, that oldray DVD is useless. I would have preferred a Digital Copy for my iTunes/iPod.

First disc I got its stunning its like little window cleaners came down and cleaned my eyes for me .
