ps3 remote?

I have a Playstation 3 from the UK and have just got one from the US. My question is can you register the Blue-Ray remote to operate two consoles or is one remote for one console only?

A PS3 remote can only be registered to 1 PS3 at any given time.

Yeah...like I said, you can only have it registered to 1 PS3 at any given time. So if you need to switch, just register it to the other PS3. I apologize to the OP for not further explaining myself.

It's a BlueTooth protocol. You have to establish a link between both devices in order for them to communicate with each other. This is actually a safety feature and a way to help reduce interference.

Would you expect a BlueTooth headset to work on any and every cell phone on the market at the same time? If so, you could stand close to someone and use their cell phone to make calls just by having a BT headset. Same principle with a BT remote. If you live in close enough quarters with other people (dorm, apartment, dense urban neighborhood), your PS3 wireless remotes would be able to control other people's PS3s, and their remotes yours. That would be a rather less than ideal situation, IMHO.
