Did anyone else get ripped off by this guy? On 11/27 I sent the payment, he responded on 11/28 and told me I was marked as paid, and told me i would receive it THAT wednesday, anyway, needless to say its been weeks he finally messaged me about a week ago and told me it was stuck at the warehouse and never got shipped and asked me if it was ok if a couple days later he shipped it himself, I responded back with sure as long as he can provide UPS or FEDEX tracking information, and he never replied back or has signed on since that later on that day.

For those of you who have experienced this sort of thing, whats my next step in getting my money back? It was $30 paid through Google Checkout, should I contact them?

(By the way I am officially 0-2 on buying something through Blu-Ray.com trading forum) ripped off by:

That really sucks , especially since both members do have feedback and it's positive. I wouldn't give up just yet , I know it's been a while and I know it's stressful when you send money and you don't' receive your package , especially since you aren't "safe" because blu-ray.com isn't responsible at all for trades that happen on the forum but I would wait a little longer and something good might still happen. As for refund I don't know about google checkout but I hope it would have some type of reimbursement like paypal.

Life can throw curve balls at any time and sometimes things don't happen the way you expect. I remember on here that one member had set up trades and was supposed to ship them and it never happened and it turned out that the seller had died tragically in a car accident and it was his wife that came on the forums and explained / apologized etc for the delay. I'm not saying that's the case and you didn't get ripped off but if you said it was 11/26 and you got contact from him a week ago there might still be hope. People who screw you over usually don't tend to stick around and keep lying on PM.

I hope it works out for you and you get a little luckier in your trades on blu-ray.com Regardless of what happens, I wouldn't consider the trade positive , more so neutral if you do happen to receive your product.

ps: by the way, if Rydes ripped you off why doesn't he have a negative feedback from you ?

If there is a problem, I would have contacted a Moderator. I believe that this thread would be more appropiate in the Feedback Forum. Anyways, good luck.

Hi RClarke - the same exact thing happened to me! He gave me the same excuse. I actually told him to just give me my money back thru PayPal or if he didn't want to get tacked on a fee, to just give me an AG card, and I never heard from him! I was going to give him 1 more week (which is this week) and then I was going to contact a Mod.

And to the other member that said he (ahaxton) has positive feedback - well, he just has 1 positive, nothing else.

Is that our next step - contact a Mod? At least then everyone else can know so it doesn't happen to them.

It is good to let us know about it so we can be aware of such behavior, however the resolution is all up to you. File a dispute with Paypal or Google since it is fraud and handle it through them, but definitely let us know if someone is scamming. Everyone should feel safe here, but every transaction is made at their own risk.

FIRST - goto paypal file a Dispute

SECOND - Contact MOD

do it now, If he has taken all the money out of his paypal account you lost your funds 9 of 10 times.

Wouldn't another resolution be (depending on the frequency and/or the total cost of the items) a suspension or banning of the member? We wouldn't want others to continue to get screwed over.

Plus, aren't you guys able to see emails and such, and can maybe drop them an email reminder to check their PM's or somesuch?

It's been 3 weeks since the deal was made, and since the seller has not come through on their end with either the goods or a refund then a - feedback is due to them... It would be a shame for another member to send payment to this person when more than one person has been waiting this long...

To clarify - this wasn't a PayPal transaction, it was a Google check-out invoice that he sent me thru his business (at least that's what he said). I actually got an email from Google asking me to rate my experience with the seller thru Google check-out. I haven't yet responded because it had only been 2 weeks at the time, and quite honestly I'm afraid of him giving me bad feedback if I give him negative feedback thru Google and here.

Well, if I don't hear anything from him after this week, I will be giving bad feedback.

That is the next step yeah but it's too early to do it yet without more of a resolution to this. As far as seeing PMs, I have no idea, that's news to me.

I sent him a PM. If no response then he'll be dealt with.

I appreciate the timely responses, but even with poor trading experiences it will not pull me away from this great community. I know there are some wonderful people on this forum, i've just had a few poor experiences.

do you guys stay completely out of it ... or do u suspsend or ban people for these actions?

if you stay completely out of it, then maybe they could have their trade #s in red or something to alert people to stay away or something.

We have to protect our members by removing people who are harmful but beyond that it's up to the member involved as it is each individual's responsibility to do their research and make their own decisions on a transaction. The site is not responsible for anything that happens but we try to help prevent it, which is why things like these need to be brought to our attention. Sure you want to give enough time and benefit of the doubt to the trader in question, but after a reasonable time, you need to act with a Paypal claim or you could end up losing out.

I did not realize there were deadbeat sellers on blu-ray.com. I consider myself lucky. I bought near mint condition pre-owned BDS from five or six sellers and so far they have all been excellent. I was burned twice on ebay which made me gun shy about buying there. I hope there is a way to eradicate deadbeat sellers on this forum. It would be a terrible shame if blu-ray.com has to end the trading forum.

So what was the deciding factor? Were there others notifying the Mods about him? From this thread I know it was just me & RClarke. Just curious. Thanks.

Unfortunately I was the one who gave him good feedback

, I got Hellboy 2 from him a while ago from his list. I got really nervous and did some research on him. Apparantly he's been banned on several other forums for doing some scamming with that "business' of his (I researched that too). He came through on me with Hellboy II so I thought he must have been legit here but I'm sorry he fell through for everyone
